These readings come from Tbilingo’s beginner story courses. Read the Georgian sentence, listen to its recording, and use the English translation when you need it. Start with an introduction between two people, then follow Niko through a counting story.
How to read with audio and translations
- Listen to one sentence while following the Georgian text.
- Check the English meaning and identify a word you recognize.
- Listen again and read the Georgian line aloud.
- Return to the sentence later without checking the translation first.
You can take one or two lines at a time. The aim is to understand a little more on your second reading, not to memorize a whole story immediately.
New Friends: a beginner conversation
In this excerpt, Ana and Nika greet each other and introduce themselves. It uses informal questions. The greetings guide explains the question forms and gives you additional phrases.

Niko in the Park: a counting story
Niko describes a sunny day in the park. Each new scene adds another number. If you need a reference, open the Georgian numbers table and look for the word that matches each quantity.
